Onsite training program
FOR NEW CHILDCARE PROVIDERS
Are you a childcare professional, educator or a student who is considering a career as a childcare provider? Have you been thinking of starting your own daycare but are unsure if you can do it on your own? Virginia’s Home Daycare offers you the possibility of getting the experience and knowledge you need to assess whether this is the right fit for you through an intensive two-month training program.
Goals of the onsite training program.

Help you get the experience you need to open your own daycare.

Support you through the licensing process.

Identify your strengths and what you might need assistance with.

Get you acquainted with all business requirements as an owner.

Help you discover if this is the right career path for you and/or your family.
Specifically we are going to review:

Your business plan.
-
Start up costs and monthly expenses.
-
Advertising and branding.
-
Sole prop vs S-Corp.
-
Hiring an accountant and setting up payroll.
-
The most challenging aspects of running a daycare.
Requirements:

Early childhood, child development, or teaching backgrounds or equivalent practical experience.

Native Spanish speaker or proficiency in Spanish.

Immunizations: Influenza, MMR, Tdap and COVID-19.

Available from 8 am to 12 pm or from 2 pm to 5 pm Monday through Fridays.

A two-month commitment.
This is a paid part time position at an hourly rate of $20.
