Part-time Preschool teacher

Responsibilities

• Maintain a healthy and safe environment.

• Talk continuously to children using rich, positive and encouraging language.

• Help children establish good habits of personal hygiene and good manners.

• Assist in maintaining spaces clean and sanitized at all times.

• Communicate effectively with parents and staff.

• Change diapers and assist with toilet training as needed.

Qualifications

• Language proficiency in Spanish required.

• Available Mondays through Friday for either the morning or afternoon shifts. AM Shift: 8:00 AM through 12:00 PM. PM Shift: 2:00 PM through 5:00 PM.

• Minimum of 6 ECE (Early Childhood Education) preferred.

• Extremely patient, very energetic and enthusiastic.

Work Requirements

• Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Bend, reach and lift up to or above head.

• May be required to lift up to 40 pounds.

• Kneel or sit on floor for up to thirty minutes at a time while working with children.

• Ability to work in a moderate to loud environment.

• TB test clearance.

• LiveScan clearance.

• MMR, Tdap and current influenza vaccines.
